A little chat with Product Manager Greta Tresoldi
Good morning Greta, tell us something about yourself…
I am an environmental engineer and doctor of geophysics, but my heart moves to the rhythm of Swing! This passion has accompanied me for several years and made me find love on the dance floor, as it happened in the 1920s. My habitat? Nature in all its forms.
How did you find out about LSI LASTEM?
I met LSI LASTEM for the first time in 2015 when I was a student at Politecnico di Milano struggling with my master’s thesis in the field of applied geophysics and I cooperated for the realization of a prototype of a geo-resistivity meter that, in the end, took my name! Later I continued my studies in Geophysics at the University of Pisa and on my return I worked for three years as a research fellow at the Politecnico di Milano, on projects dedicated to geoelectric monitoring. From March I joined the LSI LASTEM team as Product Manager. From my point of view, this path was very natural: continuing the work carried out within the University in a company that is very attentive to the themes of research and development.
From Researcher to Product Manager: what are the challenges of the new role?
I have been part of LSI LASTEM for almost one year, a period that helped me to get to know the company’s wide range of products, to fully understand the various applications to which they are dedicated and to enter the technological evolution chain of the product. I am working hard to provide my contribution in the area of product management, in order to best meet the needs of the market. The main challenge of my work is to always stay up-to-date on the areas in which we work: find innovative solutions, evaluate possible applications, have an eye on the market, in short, keep up with innovation!
What do you like about LSI LASTEM?
LSI LASTEM is a company where the single product follows its entire development cycle: from the concept to the physical product in the customer’s hands. I’m fascinated to think that from the joint effort of a Team of people it is possible to meet the practical needs of the market and of each of our customers.
I like being able to range between the different sectors related to environmental monitoring in which the company operates, each with its own needs and characteristics, which require a range of dedicated products. I can’t wait to travel again, in order to fully understand the markets and applications of LSI LASTEM in the various continents.
