O3 sensors
Ozone
Sensor for measuring Ozone in indoor applications. The Ozone calibration is carry out by comparison using NO2 as intereference gas.
Description
Ozone
Range of sensors for measuring gas concentration in indoor environments. The line includes sensors (PRGSAx200 and ESOxxx) with cables and mini-DIN connectors for use with LSI LASTEM data loggers type M-Log (ELO009) and sensors with 4…20 mA output and RS485 Modbus (PRGSAx900 and DSOxxx) that can be used by third-party systems or LSI LASTEM data loggers with terminal block. The sensors are based on electrochemical cell, infrared (CO2) and PID (VOC) technology.

FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
Why is ozone (O₃) monitoring important in indoor environments?
Ozone (O₃) is a strong oxidising gas that, at elevated concentrations, can irritate the respiratory system and affect air quality. Indoors, ozone can enter from outdoor air or be generated by specific equipment or processes. Monitoring O₃ therefore helps identify changes in concentration and supports a more comprehensive Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) assessment.
In which environments and applications is O₃ monitoring useful?
Ozone monitoring is useful in buildings, laboratories, workplaces and other indoor environments where O₃ may enter from outdoors or be generated by specific equipment and processes. It is also relevant where ozone-based systems are used for air or surface treatment, because monitoring makes it possible to track how concentration changes over time. LSI LASTEM identifies IEQ, environmental comfort, museums and waste-cycle applications among the uses of its O₃ sensor range.
What are the main features of LSI LASTEM ozone sensors?
LSI LASTEM O₃ sensors use electrochemical cell technology to measure ozone concentration in air. Models are available with measuring ranges of 0–20 ppm and 0–100 ppm, an operating temperature from -20 to 50 °C and an indicative sensor life of approximately 3 years. The range is optimised for indoor air quality monitoring applications.
How can LSI LASTEM O₃ sensors be integrated into a monitoring system?
LSI LASTEM O₃ sensors can be used for both portable applications and fixed installations. Models are available with mV output and MiniDIN connectors for LSI LASTEM data loggers, as well as versions with 4–20 mA and RS485 Modbus that can also be integrated into third-party acquisition systems. Ozone can also be monitored together with other gases and environmental parameters for a more comprehensive multiparameter assessment of air quality.
