Surface cleaning is one of the recommended actions in the management of indoor working environments to fight the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus (responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic). The SARS-CoV-2 virus can persist on surfaces for a long period (even if it is not proven how long in viral form) depending on the type of material and the Temperature and Humidity values \u200b\u200bof the environment.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
The US Homeland Security Department has published an algorithm to evaluate the decay of the SARS-CoV-2 virus on surfaces (steel and ABS plastic). LSI LASTEM has included this algorithm in the calculations available in its R-Log and M-Log units, dedicated to indoor microclimatic analysis.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
R-Log and M-Log, combined with a Temperature and Relative Humidity probe, calculate the decay time for 50%, 99.99%, 99.9999% and 99.9999999% of the stability of the virus.
